The Weir, Whitestown Way, Tallaght

The Weir, Whitestown Way development was commissioned by Clúid Housing to deliver high-quality residential homes comprising of 81 age-friendly one and two-bedroom apartments. This project was nominated for the 2026 RIAI Architecture Awards, Public Choice Award.

The homes are arranged across four blocks, featuring interconnected open-air walkways, creating an accessible and community‑focused environment. The development is conveniently located next to Tallaght Stadium.

The Weir was delivered in two phases included the construction of modern residential buildings with the inclusion of 48 balconies. The contract included the development of communal spaces including an exercise area, reception, offices and courtyards.

Phase 2 of the work saw the completion of public realm enhancements including roadways, street lighting, ponds with aquatic planting and wildflower planting.

This project incorporated several complex architectural elements, notably the installation of Kalzip roofing and communal heating system which required the establishment of a central plant room servicing the entire building.
