Cunningham were appointed by Walk Housing Association to deliver the 15-unit social housing project for Walk Housing Association.

The project involved the delivery of 10 1 and 2-bedroom apartments in a 2-storey block and a 5-bedroom shared single storey apartment building.

Cunningham Contracts Group delivered the full fit out to provide a modern healthcare accommodation facility.  Installations included specialist security, fire safety and warden call systems.  The offices were fitted out to Cat B standard.

Works were carried out within a confined urban site, multiple protection measures for adjacent properties were carried out including vibration monitoring, noise and dust control.

The works included the rerouting of an above ground power cable and extensive excavation and removal of Japanese Knotweed and contaminated soil from site.

The homes were constructed with superior levels of insulation and ventilation to achieve NZEB A1 rating.

Associated works included a new access road and parking, hard and soft landscaping, construction of boundary walls, service installations and bin and cycle storage provision.
