All units were of traditional masonry build with insulated cavity wall construction, consisting of brickwork outer-leaf and loadbearing blockwork inner-leaf construction wall finishes. The works comprised of all site development works, communal open space areas, new adopted roads and footpaths, cycle paths, drainage and underground utility services which were all constructed to full adoptable standards. Landscaping included communal grassed open space areas as well as and other soft landscaping.
The housing provision included two storey houses primarily grouped in terraces, or semi-detached, backing onto existing boundaries / rear lanes. The houses were orientated to overlook the new green spaces formed or the road access to the new housing, with a backdrop of new or existing planting.
