The Weir, Whitestown Way Shortlisted for 2026 RIAI Architecture Award

The Weir, Whitestown Way, Tallaght has been shortlisted in the 2026 Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland, RIAI Architecture Awards, Public Choice Award.

The RIAI Public Choice Award is a unique opportunity for the public to choose their favourite building or place of the year.

Cunningham were appointed by Clúid Housing to deliver 81 age-friendly one and two-bedroom social housing apartments and create a high-quality living environment for elderly residents while enhancing the area’s overall social, environmental, and visual quality.

Designed by award-winning Irish Architect Seán Harrington Architects The Weir building is arranged around a series of south-facing courtyards, connecting the development to the adjacent upgraded park facilities. The project included masterplan development for Seán Walsh Park that creatively responds to climate change requirements.
