Cunningham Awarded Contract for New Craddockstown Housing Development

Cunningham is delighted to announce the contract signing for the new Craddockstown Housing Development on behalf of Kildare County Council, marking another significant project in our continued partnership with the local authority.

On Thursday, 30 July, Cunningham, Construction Director, George Taggart joined Cathaoirleach of the County of Kildare, Cllr Tim Durkan, and Annette Aspell, Deputy Chief Executive of Kildare County Council, to formally sign the contract for the new development.

The Craddockstown project will deliver much needed new homes for the local community, helping to address housing demand in the area. Construction will utilise Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and is scheduled to commence later this year and is scheduled to commence later this year.

Cunningham is proud to once again partner with Kildare County Council, continuing a successful relationship built on the delivery of high-quality, sustainable housing developments across the county. Most recently, Cunningham completed the landmark Fitzgerald Close development in Maynooth, a project recognised for its innovative approach to sustainable drainage. The scheme incorporated pioneering nature-based solutions, including the integration of bio-retention and detention basins, the first development of its kind in the area to adopt these environmentally focused measures.

As work prepares to begin at Craddockstown, Cunningham looks forward to delivering another high-quality development that will provide lasting benefits for local residents while supporting Kildare County Council’s commitment to creating sustainable, thriving communities for Kildare’s growing population.

Working in partnership with Cunningham and the wider design team, we look forward to progressing the development and delivering 28 new homes that will support individuals and families in Naas for years to come.
