Greenhills Grange, Drogheda, has been shortlisted for the Age Friendly Ireland 2026 National Age Friendly Recognition & Achievement Awards in the Age Friendly Housing Award category.
This prestigious award recognises innovative housing projects that support older people to live independently for as long as possible, in line with the World Health Organization’s Age Friendly principles.
Cunningham were appointed by Louth County Council to deliver the project consisting of 45 single storey two bedroom bungalows and one single storey five bedroom community house, designed to meet the evolving needs of older residents. Complementing the homes are carefully planned landscaped public open spaces, accessible pathways, and communal areas that encourage wellbeing, social interaction, and ease of movement throughout the neighbourhood.
We are honoured to see Greenhills Grange recognised at a national level. This shortlist reflects the quality of the development and its positive contribution to creating an inclusive, age-friendly community.
A sincere thank you goes to every member of the Cunningham team whose dedication, professionalism, and commitment helped deliver Greenhills Grange ahead of programme and within budget. We also extend our appreciation to our client, Louth County Council, and the wider project team for their collaboration and shared commitment throughout the project.
Being shortlisted for this national award is a significant achievement, and we are incredibly proud of everyone who played a part in making Greenhills Grange a success.
Congratulations to all the finalists, and we wish everyone the very best of luck at the 2026 Age Friendly Ireland National Age Friendly Recognition & Achievement Awards.
