Cunningham is pleased to announce its latest project win with South Dublin County Council for a major residential development at Lynch’s Lane, Clonburris, valued at €100 million. This large scale scheme forms Phase One of the strategic development of council owned lands within the Clonburris Strategic Development Zone (SDZ), South Dublin.
This landmark project will deliver 284 new homes, comprising 150 houses, 16 duplex apartments, and 118 apartments across a mix of one to five storey buildings. The development includes new community facilities and three large landscaped open spaces, designed to enhance quality of life and promote community wellbeing.
Sustainability and innovation are central to the project. Cunningham will utilise Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) including timber frame and precast systems. All units will incorporate air source heat pumps and PV solar panels, reducing energy consumption and supporting South Dublin County Council’s environmental targets.
To support the development, the scheme also includes 253 car parking spaces, 10% of which will have EV charging ducting, and 169 cycle parking spaces including 134 secure, sheltered spaces for residents and 35 visitor spaces, promoting sustainable transport options.
The 28-month programme will get underway in early Autumn.
This contract award further strengthens Cunningham’s reputation as a trusted leader in the delivery of large scale public housing projects across Ireland.
This project represents a key milestone in our continued growth and our commitment to delivering superior quality, sustainable housing at scale. We are delighted to partner with South Dublin County Council in shaping the future of residential developments in South Dublin.
