Cunningham were appointed to deliver a semi-conductor manufacturing facility at Leixlip campus in County Kildare.
The manufacturing facility is a state-of-the-art building, constructed for the manufacture of innovative microchips. This project had onerous requirements for sterility that exceed medical requirements.
The project included critical infrastructure for the enabling works package with extremely complex site diversions, which was successfully completed without interruption to the live manufacturing facility.
The work involved the construction of steel framed structures, masonry cladding, and internal turnkey fit out of clean room and “Fab” facilities, including firestopping.
Production tool installation to fabrication areas was required. The cleanroom works varied, across hard wall and soft wall clean room enclosures. Installation of HVAC system, providing air filtration and reducing airborne contaminants in clean zones, in compliance with GMP Clean Build Protocols was carried out. Separate gowning and anteroom facilities were installed at multiple locations.
The office area within the plant building was fitted out to a high standard of specification which included bespoke joinery works.
