Castlefen, Sallins
 Residential
Scope of work
29 dwellings and associated ancillary site work comprising:

9 x single-story one-bedroom homes

4 x two-storey, two-bedroom homes

16 x three-storey, three-bedroom homes

This project is the first age-friendly local authority development in Ireland located in the Castlefen estate in Co. Kildare.

Residential development with a mix of single-storey complex needs bungalows, two-storey and three-storey homes. The contemporary homes have been designed to suit people of all ages with level access and outdoor connectivity.

An Taoiseach, Micheál Martin, officially opened the development by saying, “Modern, safe and secure homes such as the ones delivered here at Castlefen are instrumental in fostering sustainable communities. I hope the security and comfort that they provide, backed by the support of Tuath, Kildare County Council and an active resident’s association, will continue to make this a vibrant and caring place to live for all residents, new and old. Housing is the number one priority in my view, and that is why I am delighted to be here to witness first-hand the end result of collaboration between AHB’s, local authorities and our financial institutions, working together with government for our collective goal of providing more homes for those who need them.”

Tim Cunningham, Managing Director of Cunningham Contracts Group, said, “This successful project is a result of a committed and collaborative team effort by Cunningham Contracts Group. The project was overseen by Fred Dodds, Site Manager and Breandain McCorry, Project Surveyor, who, along with their teams, strived for excellence and quality at every project stage from the first day through to the handover. Communication between our project, site and supply chain functions ensured key deliverables were met, resulting in modern, affordable homes in the Kildare County Council area.”
